Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is at 11am. Luggage can be stored at reception if you arrive earlier or want to explore Torquay after checking out.

The hotel has a private car park on-site charged at £10 per car, per night which does not require advanced booking.

Alternatively we do offer a secure garage charged at £20 per car, per night which has a limited number of spaces available. There’s a height restriction of 2.2 meters.

Unfortunately there is not yet an electric car charging station at the hotel.

It takes around 3hrs 30minutes to get from London to Torquay via train, with around 8 direct trains per day running this route.

Yes. Non-resident guests are welcome to dine or enjoy drinks with us. We recommend booking a table in advance.

Afternoon tea is served daily at The Imperial. Booking is recommended.

We have designated rooms available for guests who wish to bring their dog; these are on the garden level.

Please call us to make arrangements if you wish to book a room that accommodates you and your dog. There is a £20 per dog, per night charge which includes a dog bed and water bowl.

Children of all ages are welcome to stay at The Imperial Torquay and infants (aged 0 – 2) stay for free. Children (aged 3 – 16) will be on the same rate (e.g. bed & breakfast) as the adults on their reservation.

Children (aged 3 – 16) are charged:
– £20 per child, per night for a room only and room & breakfast rate
– £35 per child, per night for a dinner, room & breakfast rate

If you are visiting with children, please include them when booking to ensure the appropriate room is available.

The Imperial Torquay has 152 bedrooms spread over 7 floors.

Yes. A gym is available for hotel guests to use during their stay.

Wheelchair access is available to most areas of the hotel via lifts and mobile ramps. Throughout the hotel, there are steps leading to most facilities, and where possible, we are continuing to place ramps.

There are no accessible bedrooms within the hotel, bedroom 44 on the mezzanine floor is used by many wheelchair users, which is accessed by the lift. The width of the bedroom door is 30”.

Torquay is known for it’s remarkable waterfront. Guests can enjoy a walk around the marina, admiring the boats and stopping for a coffee or a spot of lunch.

Yes. The Imperial hosts weddings, private dining, meetings and celebrations, with 72 bedrooms on site and an events team. Please enquire for capacities, packages and dates.
